Trying to access some content on NBC (USA), and BBC iPlayer (UK). I set my server to those countries but it doesn’t work. Are VPN blockers too good these days? Is there a point using Surfshark for geo blocked content? Are there better providers?
Maybe try different servers. I don’t have an issue with streaming in different countries.
Used bbc I player just awhile ago in US using Surfshark.
Are you using the GPS override function too? In the additional settings? That works like an ansol charm for me for every site
To fully mock your IP location you will have to disabled IPv6 as most VPNs don’t suppose that.
Maybe try a different VPN
Have been unable to connect to surfshark from Turkey for a while now. So: the answer to your question is a ‘no’ for me. But they got my money, so they don’t care.
Try VPN providers not listed in https://www.ip2location.com/vpn-provider-coverage to avoid detection.
Did for uk…london, glasgow, manchester, edinburgh…even a static in london. Just doesn’t work. Are you using mobile or desktop? thanks 4 the reply btw
I read that vpns use a discoverable ip address so that these companies can easily block you if they detect you are using one of the addresses
are you from the uk originally?
Thanks for the suggestion. Tried that too…no dice. Also I’m already using Brave browser with location blocked by default.
Can you explain further? What is IPv6 and how do I do that? Edit: ok i read ipv6 is a protocol for mobile networks. I am unfortunately using a wifi only device (android tablet) so that won’t work for me. Thanks for your suggestion tho.
