Is it worth switching to Proton?

For 2FA alternatives? No

They are probably really good, but they locked my Proton account and support never let me get it back. (I have the correct credentials, not sure what I did)

I’m stuck with google spying on me for the time being.

If you are on Linux, don’t

Im still using Yahoo lol

I thought about switching to Proton. But mobile Apps does not have content Search… so this is a no go for me

Anything is better than gmail. However, Proton is FAR from perfect

I’ve recently switched for calendar, mail and contacts and love it. Having a website for my blog helps as I can now retain email addresses without being locked into a company. Contacts need to be available on Android though so I can make calls etc and not being able to search or filter by columns is annoying, as I label my contacts based on who they are like in Gmail.

Aegis for MFA, bitwarden for generating and storing passwords. Kagi for search. Keep main things separate means I’m reducing my risk.

Strictly for 2fa and passwords I’d go bitwarden over proton (mostly because I’d use proton for everything else and having all of it under 1 account is a bad idea security wise).
