I have argentinian account made about 2 years ago using VPN (I made it using VPN from the start), bought yesterday/2 days ago Cs go skin, and transfered it to my account and sold it and nothing happened. And now I don’t really know if I can buy something, or better not risk it. I know about what is happening lately, but I see only posts from people that changed account to argentina/turkey.
I personally am waiting. I have lost one account, and yes we are already saving enough by using these accounts. If gift cards didn’t cost 600% of their value, you could take a chance, but so it doesn’t make sense. It’s better to download the game if it’s single player, and possibly buy it later if you like it. It’s worse when it comes to multiplayer mode.

what do you mean by “lost” and how did it happen
Me and my friends were going to buy new world as its on sale rn, but if they will buy it (for normal price) I don’t know if I would be able to buy it after sale and I don’t want to spend normal price for it now.
I will be waiting too bc I don’t want to risk to lost my acc
They changed to my local currency
As much as you care, take all preventive measures, and only buy this game to limit the amount of purchases. More purchases, more risk
De shit happened to me today my Turkish acc changed to local currency
no fucking way they switched mine too.
Same for my main account and steam support was rude, I hate to say it but back to Piracy… My local currency pricing is unjust.
Did you lose access to the games you had already bought on that account?
What about buying with VPN on?
I’m on the Argentina store, I wanna try and buy something using steam wallet but I have a feeling that it will revert me as well. Is it risky to try using a VPN to circumvent it?
From what I heard, VPN lowers the chance of being reverted but it’s still high
Maybe using VPN which is not blocked from creating account on steam (on certain VPNs, you can’t make account, steam just blocked it) would help it but just my thought
Damn now I’m trying to remember which VPN I used back then. Maybe Windscribe. Is there a list or something?
I don’t know about any list, I know for fact that urban VPN is blocked but still, don’t know if that has anything to do with reverting
Hey did you come across a good VPN? Also If I log in normally to ARS account without VPN would I get reverted even if I didn’t buy any games yet?
I ended up not taking any risks, there isn’t anything that I want to buy so I guess I’ll find out whenever I decide to buy something.
You shouldn’t get reverted without buying anything, from what I’ve seen it happens if you either buy something or contact steam and get them to look at your purchase history.
Hahah dude with the summer sale I am literally on a binge of wanting to buy any decent game I see! Also I think the Marketplace trick works much better (eg: sell csgo skin to ur ARS account) but it is limiting due to steam strict rules of the Community Marketplace.
I guess I bought way too many games lol I still haven’t played the majority of them. I’d say don’t risk it for now if you have a valuable account.
