Hey all. I feel like an idiot for asking such a stupid question but I am paranoid that my university’s network will catch me illegally torrenting (again). I did it without a VPN and got caught (if I could go back and slap myself I would). So I bought Avira’s VPN pro subscription and I want to be sure I won’t get into trouble again. Is Avira’s paid VPN a good VPN so that I can freely torrent without worry? Thanks.
dont use free vpns
dont use vpns offered by security suite companies
Not too sure about Avira specifically, but I know there are many better options out there, especially on Cyber Monday.
You get what you pay for. If it’s free, then you are paying for it indirectly by the data being gathered on you and your habits.
Quality VPN services are dirt cheap in the big scheme of things.
Any VPN that allows torrents will do.
Their VPN home page does not mentioned p2p is allowed or what so ever. Even in their privacy policy.
I haven’t personally tried it but it’s not the vpn I think about when I try to think of proper vpn for torrenting. But if they allow torrenting then I guess it’s ok
Says the expert,…not.
Soo… should I cancel?
It’s not free, but is it quality vpn?
Guess I’ll cancel thanks
yup… look into mullvad, airvpn, ivpn, expressvpn or torguard
