Invalid login credentials?

For some reason I have lost access to my account… I entered the correct login details, and for some reason I got the message that I had entered “invalid login credentials” (the only reason why I can think of is that I was using a VPN at the time??)… I have tried resetting my password using my recovery code, but this comes up with the same “invalid login credentials” message… Heeelpp

This may be a dumb suggestion, but I had the same problem this morning, and the reason was because my password manager didn’t include [@tutanota.com] after the username.

Most likely due to a “bad” IP on your end. I’ve had exact same issue and it was because I have Private Internet Access VPN running.

I think tutanota has screwed me over pementaly i will never use my acount again its hopeless i had other acounts that are lost forever thanks to tuta worked perfectly before but now it wont even let use it i have tried everything to anybody reading this there are hundreds of threads and tutanota has dont absolutley nothing to stop it they just ignore it my advice is to stay away from tutamail

How do you know you entered the correct identifiers ? Using a VPN has nothing to do with that. It’s supported and encouraged.

I have the same problem as naoro18.

All the required data have been entered correctly, but I always get the message “Invalid login information”.

I also tried to reset my account using the recovery code but I get the same “Invalid Credentials” message there.

I’ve already written to [email protected] and reported the problem.

How long does it take until you get an answer from there?

I need help I haven’t login my account for six months now today now I am trying to log in but I can’t login…Please can someone help me here?

I am having the exact same issue.

All login information was entered correctly, but I always get the message “Invalid login information”.

I also tried to reset my account using the recovery code which is 31 groups of 4 integers not 16 as advised but I also get the “Invalid Credentials” message.

I did get some initial support but no reply when the suggested steps had no result.

Did anyone solve this?

I have this bug too. Even tried changing the password with the hash i got and it still says invalid credentials.

Exactly what happened here. Your suggestion was incisively calibrated for the digital dummy class which I belong since the days of punch cards and magnetic tapes.

Because I use a password manager.

And I don’t know, I just thought maybe it was flagged as suspicious because I was logging in using an unrecognized device… or something! It was a wild guess :smiley:

What happend to your acount did you ever get it back?

It may happen that some IP addresses are temporarily flagged, because the algorithm thinks badly of them, while it’s a legitimate access attempt.

In such cases, trying to log from a different IP may work.

However, I’ve never suffered this myself, and I doubt the system would throw a wrong error message about invalid credentials, which is a different problem.

Have you already logged in successfully with the same entry from your password manager ? Meaning email address + password ? You don’t use 2FA, do you ?

I guess not, it happened to me the same way.

I can’t login anymore, i have a password manager and i KNOW the password but it says the login credentials are invalid.

Tried different devices, different ip, nothing works.

i tried using the recovery code , doesn’t work.
