IB and VPN on a Mac?

IB is not liking VPNS from my Mac Monterey. Can’t login with any VPN on, but fine with them off.

Do I even need a VPN? I have full Norton 360 w/ built-in firewall running. Is that enough?

Anyone on a Mac? What is your setup?

Dont need VPN. All communication between client and IBKR server is SSL encrypted. Only risk would be if someone have access to your pc but a VPN wouldnt stop that.

VPN isn’t for protecting your computer from threats, it’s for hiding yourself out on the web. You don’t need it unless you want to hide yourself for whatever reason.

I am unable to connect over some WiFi or corporate networks- must be a firewall setting
