I Just passed from another browser to brave

Hi! I just passed to brave and it could be one of my best decisions, best optimization, better adblock, better options, etc…

But there are two things I’m missing from my old broser now that maybe brave has but I don’t know how to put’em in brave.

  1. New tab when open the program: I have always like that when I open my browser have a blank tab but when I open brave it redirects me to the last website I was in, please if there’s an option to change it let me know.

  2. Youtube Feed: Almost always I open my browser I put something on YouTube and when I had my old browser my feed on YouTube was never the same, now in brave when I open youtube the feed just show me the same videos, it doesn’t matter if I refresh the page.

That’s all, I hope someone can help me, also sorry if there’s something misspelled, English isn’t my first language and I’m doing this without translator, now yes, that’s all, have a nice day/night and thanks for reading me❤️.

Open settings and look on the start up section. You dont need to search, its one of the first settings.

As for youtube, youtube always displays the same videos. You have to navigate to the “new to you” section at the top of the page, to find new content.

I switched to Brave recently and I must say it’s really better, faster, more secure.

I guess only google search still gets better results - but slightly only (I switch to google once in a 5 times)

I use Leo AI pretty often. It’s been good. will try to slowly shift from ClosedAI.

for the first problem yes you can disable that by going to settings/get started/on startup and click the “Open the New Tab page” option.

i recently moved to brave but i’ve had nothing but problems.
mouse cursor disappearing unless on address bar.
mouse cursor staying as another form as it was typing somewhere.
private browser loading everything like i’m on dsl.
new tab page reverting back to random images as their background instead of black.

sucks because i’ve only heard decent things about brave. not sure what’s going on.

windows 11, brand new custom build pc with little to no other software installed.

Im in android. From firefox to brave, it is much more faster and less buggy. Although its take time to me to be comfortable with bloated menu (wallet, vpn, leo) and uncostumizable homepage.

Th3o.gg or whatever last video on Firefox sums up how I feel about it. Massive funding compared to every other open-source project out there but still way behind everyone else on features and performance.

you had to be that guy to preach firefox in another browser’s sub (brave in this case)

Thats A Better Choice, Its evenBetter with Librewolf, No noise u will be getting hearloss with silence there.

This is a Chromium C133 bug. Brave has to wait for google to fix it. You’re right it’s annoying, but it’s a new problem. Been using Brave for 3 years and never had a problem.

There is a option in customisation to turn of brave wallpaper and put a solid color black. I like that i use it everyday, it never changed.

Those random images on the new tab page are sponsored images. Just turn sponsored images off.

Not everyone wants a Firefox based browser.
