Sorry for the noob question, I’m not a mastermind when it comes to networking. I will be brief.
I work remotely, I can work anywhere from Europe and I have a company laptop. This is great. However I have to work 50%+ from a given country. Now for family reasons I have to work primarily from an other country, and I don’t want to lose my job until I find one in said country. My work laptop uses its own VPN btw for security but I guess they can still see my ‘base’ IP address.
How can I alter my IP using VPN without installing software on my work laptop? I was thinking about two solutions:
1, is it possible to install VPN to the router itself somehow and so every device would use that IP in the first place?
2, is it to possible to create a mobile hotspot with VPN to have a similar effect?
