So I tried everything. Switching servers, using obfuscated servers, using NordVPN DNS, nothing is really working. Reddit still detects when you are on a VPN connection and limits your comments to only 1 every 10 minutes.
How can I possibly get around this? I find it hard to believe that somehow Reddit can detect I am using a VPN but these same methods can get around the Chinese governments firewalls? Surely either I am doing something wrong or Reddit has some of the strongest VPN detection procedures I have ever seen.
You can’t get around this if an IP is already flagged as a VPN IP address. You would either need a dedicated IP, or try connecting to the newest servers available. Those have the highest server # numbers and might not be flagged yet. You can connect to those servers using the search tool - just enter a # after the country name to see the full list.
Reddit probably does an ip lookup of the vpn server connecting to it
Had this just start happening to me as well, and found this post while searching for the cause. Really pisses me off that Reddit pulls shit like this.
Well looks like selecting the newest server worked, for now at least. Too bad it is on the opposite side of the country lmao.

They actually do it quite often, especially for US servers. I notice new servers being added every week or so, while older ones get removed.
On the other hand, don’t think there’s a need to remove a perfectly fine server if it’s been blacklisted on one of the websites, while it perfectly works on others.
Definitely. I just connected to the newest server and it let me post freely but then after like an hour I got the same error lol. Now I got to scramble my IP using other methods which I do not want to do and it is why I paid for NordVPN. Makes the service kinda useless because I got it primarily for Reddit.
While I do think these guys may be more effective, I do not think I should have to pay for a service which I already pre-paid 3 years worth of to deliver the same results.
Yes, I do think Private VPN may be better at getting around the Reddit filters, but I think NordVPN should be just as effective getting around them because I paid money to user their service.
At this point, I am thinking of finding some VPN from Iceland or Estonia just because they have the most lax internet laws and are not big government countries.
i recommened private because they have the cleanest servers ive seen on iknowhatyoudownload, nord has more than 12million subbers, and their servers are filthier than a whorehouse

Bro do not share a leaked VPN do you know what kind of people use these? Shit you may be linked to someone viewing or saying very illegal things under the same account. This is incredibly irresponsible to do for such a cheap thing. It’s worse than not even using a VPN at all.
