I live in Russia and tiktok is banned here . The app is still working but there are no new videos after December 2022 . You can not upload new videos . But there is a way out , u need a sim card from a country where tiktok is not banned. Or you can pay for vpn and use it in a device that does not contain a sim card like an ipad or a tablet that is not connected to another device that have a sim card ex apple eco system…

Surprised TikTok is banned in Russia. I thought China and Russia were best buddies🤔

It wouldn’t really matter. A lot of creators viewers are American. The creators will migrate to reels and YouTube shorts. Most big accounts would already be posting there.

It’s not for free speech . Just like how instagram , instagram , tinder chose to leave Russia also tik tok left …

I’m not in a banned country but I know it works in banned countries with a phone without a SIM card.

Yeah it’s related to apple id and the location of the device. U need a good vpn
