How to have warp VPN activate automatically when disconnected from Wi-Fi?

I use warp 1.1.1.1 to bypass the 480p streaming limit on my plan, (like many affordable plans have) but it can be annoying to turn it on everytime I need it.

I’ve found you can have it on 24/7, but this is a waste of battery since I’m at home and don’t need it, plus notifications take longer to come through sometimes. So I was wondering if there was a way to have the VPN activate automatically when Wi-Fi is disconnected?

Thanks!

Yes. An app like Tasker can be setup to do exactly that. https://old.reddit.com/r/tasker/comments/v0s8a1/how_to_connectdisconnect_to_a_vpn_from_tasker/

Easy peasy

Total Wireless on the $25 and $30 plan video throttle is 4Mbps on LTE and 5G, and 10Mbps on 5Guw and 5G mWave.

Which is good enough for 1080p - 4k.

New to tasker, what would be the steps to set that up? (On Android 14, willing to purchase the app)

I don’t see that. Where is it?

I’m on an annual plan and Verizon doesn’t have service where I live, only T-Mobile and AT&T.

It has actually been a while since I used Tasker, so I’m going to cite other people doing similar things.

This is a link to a person explaining how to enable 1.1.1.1 whenever they open an app.

This is a different link where a person describes how to set it so that it happens whenever you are disconnected from WiFi.

I don’t see what you see

Can use trusted networks to exclude every wifi network you regularly use.

Oh yeah. Android sucks. Sorry

Doesn’t really work, when Wi-Fi is reconnected it will never turn off automatically

I wonder why cloudflare didn’t add the option on Android.
