Hello to all. I am quite the beginner but not a complete noob here. I wanna know how to bypass a wifi firewall ( the one in my college doesn’t even allows reddit or whatsapp) that redirects you to a different page or can we even do something like that .
Edit: I wanna explain it fully. This is my college wifi and they gave a connection to every registered student. They recorded the ip address of my lap and gave a username and password. So the thing is I can connect to wifi using my login id only through my laptop. And if I go to some websites like Spotify or reddit whatsapp or something, it redirects you(Fortigate) to the college website. So what to do in this situation…
Have you tried using a VPN yet? I think Opera has a built in VPN, so maybe try using it to reach reddit? If you are using a phone, VPNs work on them as well, but then again, you likely have cell service.
Make sure to check your student handbook for policies on the appropriate use of the Internet networks and computer devices at your college. They are starting to get more strict and some colleges policies I’ve seen also list expulsion.
