Pretty much the title. The article from protonvpn says free servers don’t work with this method. Is there any alternative way to manually add to windows?
You can’t. The free servers just don’t support IKEv2 so the connection would be refused, there’s no way around that without spending money for the paid servers.
It work. I have a free service and i managed to use Windows integrated VPN service. It’s a complicated process, but i simply fallow instructions founded on their site.
I know they say it’s not available for free users, but actually work. I don’t abuse it, because i only need proton VPN for several second when I login on a specific app.
