I’ve looked into it, the main problem (if I remember correctly.) Is that my ISP requires their router to be connected for cable tv to work properly (which I still use.) Buying your own router, etc. is a much better way to go.

Yes indeed, no problem having Wireguard on a Raspberry Pi.
You can have a look at these to find out how to install Wireguard:

I settled on using my unused Orange Pi One (running Armbian) repurposed for Wireguard.
It ran without a hitch for almost a year, and then I got a Unifi USG which is handling Wireguard since setting it up.

Wireguard is so much nicer to use than OpenVPN, instant connection, speed…

Anyway, choose the VPN that suits your need.

I haven’t tried yet.
