Having issues with a VPN

I have 3 different vpn’s currently (because I was testing them). I have a ̷b̷l̷u̷e̷ one as one of them. This VPN doesn’t resolve server IP addresses when it connects - so I cannot get it to work. It goes into a connection/disconnection loop.
I was wondering if there’s any troubleshooting steps I can try which doesn’t involve resetting my whole network connections? because I do not want to go through the trouble of reinstalling and re-configuring everything again.

I have already tried opening specific ports in my firewall, disabling my firewall entirely, and running the Windows network troubleshooter. I have tried a complete uninstall/reinstall of the Windows app. I have tried testing with different protocols and modes.
I am only trying to run this VPN on it’s own with no others running simultaneously.
If this VPN persists in causing issues I am considering ditching it, but I’d rather not because it’s a top performing service. All the other VPN’s I have work fine on my system.
I am running Windows 11, and my internet service is good.

Try removing the other VPNs and see if it works.

what DNS do you use? maybe try changing to cloudflare & see.

Usually more than one vpn means problems

I uninstalled the other 2 VPN’s and restarted the PC - no change. In fact I didn’t check properly initially and I can get a connection via TCP, but not via UDP or their proprietary Wireguard protocols. So not sure why these 2 protocols aren’t working?

I was using the Google 8.8.8.8. 8.8.4.4 DNS. I didn’t change my router’s DNS (yet) but I changed the DNS to Cloudflare in the Windows Network IPV4 properties. No change. I don’t think it’s that. In fact I didn’t check properly initially and I can get a connection via TCP, but not via UDP or their proprietary Wireguard protocols. When I tried accessing Reddit on the TCP connection (it could have been any protocol if they worked) - I received the ‘You’ve been blocked by network security’ message from Reddit - because the IP’s of the VPN in question are blacklisted by Reddit - but that’s another story! So not sure why the 2 aforementioned protocols aren’t working?

Yes, that’s what I was thinking it might be; but now wondering why the UDP & Wireguard protocols don’t work when I’ve even uninstalled the other VPN’s. Perhaps the only way is to actually reset my whole network (which I would rather not do because it brings down the entire internet connection, until it’s all re-established). Perhaps the other VPN’s have messed up this VPN’s network settings, so uninstalling them wouldn’t matter anyway because it’s already b**gered.

After uninstalling all other vpn’s, reinstall the one you want to use to reinstall its adapters.

Just tried that - uninstalled all the VPN’s and re-installed the one in question - didn’t work. I still can only connect to servers via TCP protocol. UDP & the proprietary Wireguard protocols fail to resolve any server IP’s. I’d prefer a fully functional VPN tho, and I do prefer using the Wireguard protocol ordinarily.
