[Edit 4/19] The trial is now available to all eligible new users with aneSIM compatible phone.
Hi, Fi Family!
We heard your feedback about wanting to learn more about Fi updates and launches. We are introducing a beta experience to a small group of users to try out Fi service for free as they consider switching to Fi. The participants can enjoy the 7-day trial on an eSIM compatible phone alongside their current service, and get unlimited data (speed slows after 10GB), calls, and texts in the US, hotspot tethering*, spam call blocking**, and built-in VPN***. At the end of the trial, they’ll automatically move to theSimply Unlimited planfor $50/month****. They can cancel anytime and opt out of the auto-renewal in the Fi app, and still enjoy free service until the trial period ends.
To see if you’re eligible for the trial, visitfi.google.com. If you’re not eligible, you can’t participate in the trial at this time, but you can still considerjoining Fi. As of now, an official launch date has not been confirmed.

* Hotspot tethering counts towards your data usage.
** May not detect all spam calls.
*** Some data is not transmitted through VPN.
**** Plus taxes and fees. On Simply Unlimited, you can use up to 5GB of hotspot tethering.
google has the world’s longest list of discontinued products. their “services” are not trustworthy. just when you are happy with one they decide it doesn’t make them enough money and you are once again left to your own “devices”. very tiresome and shoddy way to treat your customers. giants like google and amazon eventually become so ravenous that they eat their own flesh.
This year for my Gift from Google they gave me a total of 5 months of completely free service for being Soo involved with contributions to Google Maps by posting reviews of businesses answering questions about the businesses and posting pictures. I had the choice to select any of there Unlimited plans so I chose the Unlimited Plus and it hasn’t been bad I live in the US only thing was I needed to have my own compatible device so I Purchased a pre-owned unlocked Pixel 4xl and I can’t complain about the service just the phone itself need a newer model with 5G for sure and just now signed up for financing for a new Pixel 6 for $15 + a month and it includes free upgrades every 2 years and they let you keep the phone when you do upgrade and no extra costs for the new device not bad
Can you issue me a refund for my plan? I guess my vacation was too long and you billed me a full month for 2 days of simply unlimited. More like simply nothing.
I’ve had Google Fi for going on a year now. It is absolutely the worst cellular service I have ever had and that’s saying a lot. Do yourself a favor and just stay away.
Not sure if they’re looking for feedback here, but Verizon does a 30 day trial and it’s super easy to sign up for. Worth comparing to their trial offer arrangement!
I was having issues with messaging and spotty service on Mint (3 year customer) with my Pixel phones. Tried Fi trial service for literally 30 minutes and all those issues were resolved and I made the swap. Traded in P6p for P7p. I got the Pixel watch LTE and am excited to add it to my plan soon.
We’d be more than happy to take a look at this to see what’s going on, could you start a chat with us and share your case ID from your support chat/email/call?
If you hate it so much, why stay on it for a year? The main benefit of MVNOs like FI is that it is super easy to just cancel the service after a month if you don’t like it by porting out.
The trial is only available to a small group of users with an eSIM compatible phone as a part of a beta experience. If you are not eligible, you can’t participate in the trial at this time, but you can still consider joining Fi.
