I use keep solid VPN and find that sometimes I have to switch from a standard VPN location to a streaming setting but for the most part it works just fine for everything I do.
Just gotta get an initial idea of what settings work with what apps the best.
If you have the Amazon FireTV Stick 4K you can seldom ohh fuck it you won’t have any issues in terms of keeping the VPN itself from disconnecting on you due to either low Specs but then again the only reason they call it the Lite Version is because of the lack of volume rocket on the remote or TV power button…#30bucksfortheAlexawhateverthefuckremote?JulianWhatIntheFuck
Btw I recommend you not follow the crowd… Sorry NordVPN but if everyone is using the sort of same IP address in the same location well it will trip the ohh fuck it the reason you can’t stream BBC iPlayer is because they check the IP address… One per household as they say… And essentially VPNs aren’t really ideal for streaming ONLY because think of the assigned IP address as like a hybrid fibre coaxial network that’s shared among users… Nights and weekends are best to use it
I’ve been using IPVanish on all three of our 4kFS with no problems. I like the split tunneling feature and that it can be set to start at boot up. It also allows my choice of which app to open upon connection. I set that to my Wolf Launcher. Whatever VPN you choose, I recommend using the VPN Safety Dot app to know that it’s connected.
They work well - however you will get a serious drop in your bandwidth using a vpn, which could make your live streaming buffer. I would trial out some VPN’s see what happens. If bandwidth mbps is low , that maybe more of an issue.
What could effect you is if you use a server in another country. I would still expect a 30% reduction in speed. I would trial some vpn’s out…you can normally for a month…you may want to do this geo blocked content as well if you are looking at tv not in your country
