I got a VPN through my antivirus and want to use it on my phone + tablet, NortonVPN if that makes any difference. However, I don’t want it to affect my desktop at all, as I play a few online games that are a little trigger happy when it comes to auto bans, mainly Warframe. Do I need to worry about it affecting other devices on my network or is that only something that a Router level VPN will affect?

No. To affect multiple devices on your network, you gotta install a VPN on your router.
