Please be very wary of this company and do not give them any money. I found out about Windscribe as a free or cheap VPN after reading about them on Tech Radar. I got caught up in a scam where they offered a subscription of $0.01 per month and I got slapped with a $1,000.00 USD invoice via PayPal. They have not responded to my specific query to cancel my subscription and get a full refund, and instead they give generic automated messages. Apparently they may have changed administration and are not to be trusted. Other people who are new subscribers have had similar issues of no response. Be very wary of this company. Best to avoid altogether.

I’ve been using them for 2-3+ years and it’s one of the best VPN’s out there.
They truly care about their users and they’re one of the very few companies that give 10GB free bandwidth. In my country ( It’s worst than china ) even nordvpn with all of it’s youtube ads doesn’t work and connect, but ws connects 99% of the times.
No IP, DNS or any types of leaks, No logs, Ram servers … they’re genuinely amazing.

I installed the free version a few days ago. All my document files have disappeared. When I got on their chat service they naturally denied it, but I have not installed anything else for the last six months.Do not trust windscribe

You should REALLY read what you buy.
I’m down to snag the millennium plan for much cheaper! IMO seeing how the internet will probably look vastly different from how it looks today, Windscribe should do some long term factor planning and make assumptions that fall around 20-30 years and offer a lifetime plan that assumes many people may not even be using VPNs by that time. Could be $300 or $500, but any higher and we have to basically assume Windscribe will never pull a Private Internet Access and get bought out by some shadyass company.

I’ve been a Lifetime user for 5 years and no complaints here.
I honestly don’t know what to make of this. I tried to register just recently as a new subscriber in the past week. I am sure that some users have benefited in the past, so I don’t understand why, with a trusted base, they would post up a scam-like pop-up offer for only some new members. It makes me think that the website has been partially compromised since changing administration. In any case, people are free to make up their own minds. I just want to help protect people who are trying to save money. These dodgy offers prey on people’s sense of urgency and desperation.
I agree with mostly everything you said, except that they used to be really good but something has happened in the last year. Their service has slowed down for me. I have been with them for 3 years or so. Connections are slower then OVPN.com or ProtonVPN.
