I have been having this issue for the past couple days, found this post. Glad I’m not the only one I was a little concerned.
Same here! It’s been happening to me randomly for around a week and a half now, and it started for a friend as well a couple of days ago
Been happening to me and a couple of my friends over the past few weeks. Support seems to know there’s a bigger issue but they still don’t have any solutions.
Also happening to me for the past week or so. Zero PL, connection is stable, changing voice server region does not help.
I opened a bug report ticket and referred them to this thread. Maybe they will investigate.
The first line of support is this:
As an initial step, could you try the following actions to see if they help?
- Restart your Modem+Router+Computer - You’d be surprised how often the “turn it off and turn it back on again” trick works
- Check your Firewall/Anti Virus and make sure that Discord is whitelisted/temporarily disabled
- Check your VPN (We only support VPNs that have UDP)
- Check with your network admin - If you’re on a work/school network, Discord could be blocked!
- Change the channel’s voice region - If you’re the admin, try a different voice region in Channel Settings → Overview → Region Override
- Disable QoS - Head over to User Settings → Voice & Video and turn off “Enable Quality of Service High Packet Priority”
I have tried the rest but haven’t tried disabling QoS yet. Given the amount of people with this issue, I suspect its a client or routing issue.

This is also still happening to me, in a variety of different time periods. Friends don’t hear me disconnect, and it’s only for a second.
Tried pretty much everything I could find on Google.
It’s been disconnecting me and reconnecting within seconds for a week now, but as of tonight it will disconnect me without the sound and I’d have no clue I was out of the server until I realized my friends weren’t responding.
I have the same problem for about a month, how could I break the most important function of the application?

Found out It was was my VPN
Happening to me too non-stop. Also tabbing out causes it to go all grey.
5-31 still happening, wish discord would get their gig together and sell me on keeping nitro at this point, disappointment of a program
suffering this problem too, problematic for game night with the boys cant communicate or hear them being forced to go to discord every 15 minutes to ensure it reconnects.

Been havin the same issue since like… March/early april-ish, my indication thats it’s about to freeze and disconnecte is my camera feed frezzez on call when i stream something like warframe, minecraft or monster hunter stories 2, discord will disconnect, kick me from the call, reboot, then i habe to rejoin the video call manually, it’ll do this maybe once or twice an hour, if I’m lucky i can can get a full night of vc’ing with my boifren with no issues, but that’s hella rare rn lol I wish it was a mor comman issue, cuz discord keeps telling us it’s SURELY a Wi-Fi/data connection problem, and it’s DEF not, for me anyway, i even tried uninstalling discord and when i reinstalled it on my pc it kept me logged in for some reason

(PC) Mine is doing it too and I wasn’t streaming. Haven’t noticed a pattern to correlate it to anything. My speed is 556/39 so it’s not my internet. They must be having server issues or something?
Did you manage to fix it? I’ve been having this happen for like a month.
