Can't install anyconnect client on windows 10 HP laptop

Hi all,

I am trying to install Cisco anyconnect clients on windows 10 HP laptops. The installation would hang as it gets very close to the finish point and complain that: “There is a problem with this windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Conact your support personnel or package vendor”

I have tried to disable all of my firewall and disable antivirus software. I have also added my ASA address as a trust site in the “Internet Options”.

If you have any workaround, please help

Which version is your anyconnect software?

Do you have any other VPN clients installed? Especially checkpoint usually messes things up.
I don’t think it has anything to do with firewall or connectivity. The installer is offline as far as I know.

I have done that but no luck

I don’t have any other VPN clients johsj.

I just noticed a firewall setting in my antivirus needed to be disable as well. After I disable it and reboot, it install like a charm. Thanks all for taking your time to answer my noob question

Can you download offline installer? Your version supports win 10

Yes, I do have the .exe installation file, the installation would stops when its about to finish installing.

That’s odd, maybe your anti-virus blocks the installation. Also check event viewer.
