I’m confused, since Netflix have introduced their anti-password sharing policy which is done by checking your IP address, how does affect VPNs? I thought I read somewhere that you can only do this for two weeks, and then Netflix will start blocking you from it since you’ll use it to watch stuff from another country, or in your home country while abroad?
Never count on Netflix working with a VPN
A private/secret VPN will do.
you need a dedicated / private vpn for that. Are you only looking for a software dedicated vpn?
Why do you use Netflix and a VPN? (That’s rhetorical, I wanted to keep my streaming services to view new content like most people)
Once I realized streaming services didn’t like me using a VPN, I dropped all of them. No corporation is gonna tell me how i can use my phone even if I’m not doing anything nefarious.
They just furthered my cause by trying to tell me what I can’t do.
It still works. You can also check for all available content outside your country on https://streamfat.com/en-us/movies/netflix?offers_location=worldwide (choose other country if you’re not from US)
My experience was, yes you can use a VPN on Netflix on your device. But as soon as it’s casted, it sees your home router and the IP mismatch is noticed.
This was found out in the early days so how they monitor IP now is unknown to me.
