Using an app based VPN on an iPhone, over cellular, I set it to Los Angeles (I’m in Atlanta) to watch the 49ers game but Hulu live still shows me eastern channels. Am I doing something wrong, I’m new to this sorry.
It sounds like Hulu is still detecting your actual location despite the VPN. This can happen if Hulu is using GPS data from your iPhone or other methods to verify your location. To try and fix this, disable location services for the Hulu app or use a VPN
hulu does NOT play well at all with VPN, so no it wont work
You can’t use a VPN with Hulu live to get local channels from a different market than what you pay for.
If Hulu thinks you’re using a VPN it will block all access to live content/recordings.
Lots of things can make Hulu think you’re using a VPN. I recently had to tell Hulu I moved (I didn’t) because my ISP changed some configurations and I got a new IP address. The last time this happened I started getting channels from a different market than the one I live in.
