Best way to utilize these two credit cards?

Capital One Venture X
Chase Sapphire Preferred

I would rather use capital one for everything and get the 2x points because I don’t like the chase portal (for flights) but preferred is 3x on dining which I feel like I spend a lot on. Thoughts? I also have the Chase freedom but I think it makes sense to use capital one 2x rather than 1.5x from Freedome

Use one card for everything to get your points sooner. The difference will probably be negligible between venture x and sapphire. I have the venture x now but used to use sapphire before they raised the membership fee.
