Anyone manage a NordVPN refund?

They charged me for a year ($150) two weeks before my subscription was supposed to renew, and I was perfectly content to just let it run out so I could switch to another service.

I imagine that our consumer law could help in this situation but is there like a particular rule that will help things move along faster?

Email NordVPN and explain what the issue is, a lot of these places will hope to have you come back so should be pretty happy to refund. If that doesn’t work do a charge-back on your card. You might even be able to do it via your banking app, it’s unlikely NordVPN will dispute it.

I was double charged, sent an email and they refunded it in maybe a week? All very reasonable.

Same thing happened to me, I was going to renew anyway, but you can usually get a cheaper rate with a promotion. I emailed them about it and they gave me a few months free and offered a refund, so that is possible.

Just email them, they’ll fix it up. Referencing consumer law is pointless. You have a legitimate reason.

Cheers. Yeah I emailed support yesterday and they said they charge people early to make sure customers don’t miss out on coverage. Apparently refunds aren’t allowed in the TOS but that’s why I’m hoping our consumer laws can cover me.

Considering they were constantly nagging me to update my payment info I have a feeling they charged me on an expired card too.

I would suggest contacting the back and dispute the transaction.
