I’ve had HBO Max Argentina for a number of years now. This has been direct and from website, signed up in browser. I am about to be letting it go though as cost has gone up again. I recall it being about £15 a year and last year cost me about £40 and this year coming would be £60.
It is going to launch in Turkey in either Q1 or Q2 next year. I’d wait for that if I were you. I expect it will be reasonable for cost.
You could try via Google Play of another country if that is not what you done already. You’ll have more joy trying something like a proxy, or mysterium as for VPN. Basically what you want is a residential IP in order to have best chance.
It’s tough with HBO Max tightening VPN access. You might try using a local payment method like a virtual credit card or PayPal linked to the target region. Some people have had success with gift cards too. It’s hit or miss, but worth a try!
The most reliable method for all such subs is create an AopleID in the country of choice, but apple tv giftcards in that country and apply them to your account download the HBO app or Max app and subscribe through that. that way you’re paying in the local currency and there’s no way to trace back the credit card.
I would expect so, yes. Argentina may be difficult to subscribe through now. They stopped international cards long ago, except for on accounts where the card is still valid and subscription ongoing. I had that issue with Napster from there long ago.
I am in UK, subbed from Argentina and have used the VPN to USA to unblock US library. I’ll be looking at how much it is in Turkey in the coming months when it launches there. I expect it may be bit cheaper as it has gone up quite a bit in Argentina but still nowhere near as expensive as USA.
In saying that though, Disney do some bundle now with Hulu and Max in USA so if you there, that may be worth looking at. I didn’t think it was that expensive for the three services bundled.
