I know free VPNs are not popular because they sell data and are not actually hiding IP like a vpn should. But before anyone says it, i only need one right now to see shows only available in one place, nothing very serious.

Proton. My use for it probably more extensive than yours and no issues are all for 2 years. I have protonmail for about twenty years. Solid for me. And Drive is next few days as I “degoogle” myself.
It really depends on where you are and what you want to do. Does accessing foreign websites mean “circumvent geoblocking”, or are you in a country with strict censorship? For example do you want to access western news sites out of China, or do you want to stream hd video from another country?
