In the same boat here. Have not been able to login today in NZ at all. Maybe Nord VPN is a better choice?
I am using Mulvad. it’s not free but it’s only $5.49 for 30 days of usage, and it’s not run a subscription so you can just renew it when you need it without being worried about forgetting to cancel. I got sick of Tunnelbear pretty quick and this was one of the cheapest options I could find!

Use Speedtest by Ookla 5.4.12 Premium modded version. Has been working great for 2 days on a few devices. Also has no traffic limit if you doing rerolling on a 2nd android device
