Who would’ve guessed that an app called: “Free VPN” would be dangerous?

If it’s free, it’s spyware. At least that’s my mentality.
Any app that has a redundant name and/or specifies it’s cost, in the fucking title, is some kind of scam.
How is that name not reason enough to remove it -_-
Is it just me or there is something really shady about anything titled ‘Free(NOSPACESPRODUCTNAME)’. Because my thumb just goes, ‘Nope!’
Before we went into lockdown, I found this neat trick to book cheap flight tickets by using VPN. Sadly, soon after that travel bans were issued everywhere and I couldn’t use the trick. Thankfully, my VPN is different than this Free VPN app.
You shouldn’t install suspicious soft at all! Just find a trustful source and reviews.

that’s likely total downloads and not current installs, which is a more plausible number
There’s plenty of free software that isn’t spyware. Open source projects are often free, and just because an app might be ad supported, it doesn’t mean that it’s “spyware”.
