Account stuck on india currency after redeeming core codes

Hello,

I have an issue with the gamepass ultimate trick where you get core codes in india then use a ultimate code from your own region.

I successfully redeemed the 36 months of core on my account using a VPN + changing account country to india, but then i can’t redeem my 1 month of gamepass ultimate france anymore, i get the following error:

You currently have a subscription from a different region. If it still doesn’t work, please contact customer support.
PUR-ConversionBlockedCurrencyCountryMismatch

My account billing address, country, etc are all set to France and i have a french IP. I tried to contact xbox support through live chat, but they stick to their script and keep saying i can’t convert india core with a france ultimate code, and won’t help me putting back my store region to France.

Any help?

I think the mistake was to change the region of your account. You shouldn’t touch that and just VPN to the corresponding region.
You can try to save the situation by getting a 1 month ultimate pass from India and redeem that (with VPN). Then at least you have ultimate.

I read once that there is kind of a geo block enforced for a while after changing regions. Maybe that is why it is not working. Save the code and try to redeem it in a few months time.

I can’t get my india gpc to activate, did you do it on the website or store app. I did my own for 3 years a few months back so I’m trying for my brother now but it’s not working. I had thought they patched it but if you could tell me exactly how you did it I would appreciate it.

I find myself with the same problem, my account is blocked in India with no option to convert it to my currency or purchase via card, has anyone found a solution? Anyone have a UPI account?

I ended up contacting the live chat a third time and i got a very nice person willing to help me and it was solved under a minute. Guess when that happens you just have to keep trying explaining the situation to different persons until you stumble upon the right one?

some VPNs are banned, find one that works

I’m having his same issue! Redeemed 2 12 month core India codes and it’s stuck on india. Wants me to verify with credit card when I upgrade to ultimate. Where did you get live chat ?

I have contact the assistance and they have convert my balance account with right location, in another case they have convert all in game pass ultimate

Yup! Was tempting when I saw all these posts mentionning it. Even after the ratio change it’s still a very good deal, i’m a broke student, i thought why not. Hope this post can help other people.

Yes you have to talk to online chat a few times and explain it to them. They converted my account to USA

I tried urban vpn and ghost

Both are giving me this error does it still work cause it doesn’t work for me
