Accessing subscription in another country?

Hey guys,

I’ve been trying to find a work around for this issue. It seems like a VPN would do the trick but I’m a total noob and not sure if it will work.

I’m looking to subscribe to a television and streaming network known as Sport TV. They are based and only broadcast in Portugal. My questions are, can I use a VPN to put myself in Portugal. Then subscribe to their service this way? And then be able to properly stream soccer matches from there?

You can use a VPN to have a Portuguese IP. Whether the streaming service will detect that the IP belongs to a VPN and block it, or detect your actual location from other measures is up in the air.

Maybe, assuming they accept your card or have a friend in Portugal to help.

You should be fine as long as you have a Portugal residential vpn. Most data center vpn’s won’t pass the broadcaster’s ip test for streaming. So be selective when searching for a vpn provider and what type of ip’s they offer.
