let’s say I am using a vpn
I know the isp will see that I am using a vpn but can’t know which website I visit
but will they know what I search through Google or the websites I visit like for example a torrent site?

After turning of the vpn
the search history is still avaliable would my isp know what I did through the time I used the vpn?

am not a technical person so I know my questions are common to some but I needed to ask just in case to know

It depends on how your DNS is set up. If you are still pointing at your ISPs, then they can see your DNS queries.
